hello, i'm Jonathan McKinnies

Jonathan’s professional career in the mortgage industry began early in 2006 while at the same time, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in business management at Indiana University South Bend. During his time at IU South Bend, he was honored to receive the John R. Swanda Ethics Award, given to an “outstanding business student who best exemplified the highest standards of business ethics and professional behavior.” This previous college recognition identifies high ethical standards that are of the utmost importance to Jonathan and they remain at the core of his personal and professional life today.

Since joining Hallmark Home Mortgage in 2009, Jonathan has been consistently recognized as a member of the Hallmark Hall of Fame; given only to the top producing loan officers within the company. In 2015, Jonathan was also privileged to be the recipient of Hallmark’s MVP Award.

Aside from company success, Jonathan was selected as a top producing mortgage loan officer by Mortgage Professional America Magazine in 2014 and 2015. The individual acknowledgment known as the “MPA Young Gun Award”, is an annual, national recognition given to the top 50 mortgage professionals who are 35 years old or younger and are making a positive impact in the mortgage industry.

Jonathan also serves on the Michiana Chapter of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association, a community outreach committee of the Greater South Bend-Mishawaka Association of Realtors, and as a board member of the local SBMAOR Young Professionals Network where he volunteers in multiple areas to help support the Michiana (Southwest Michigan and Northern Indiana) real estate and mortgage lending community.

Jonathan also passionately serves outside of the mortgage and real estate industry in variety of groups within his local church. Jonathan is particularly proud to be the administrator of his church food pantry, which serves neighbors in need within his local community.

At the end of each workday, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, and his two sons and daughter. As a young family of five, they love traveling as much as possible. The family agrees that you can’t go wrong when the destination includes the sun, the sand, and the waves.
