I have been a residential loan originator for 25
years. After graduating from Indiana University
in 1971 with a BS degree in Real Estate, I
managed a real estate office for 13 years. In
1982, I was awarded Realtor® of the Year from the
Northeast Indiana Board of Realtors®.
My financial career began at Waterfield Mortgage
Company in 1983 when Deborah Sturges hired me as
a loan originator. Ironically, in July 2007
Deborah Sturges, now current owner of the newly
formed Hallmark Home Mortgage hired me again as
well as my son Nathan Gaier,
giving us the rare and exciting opportunity to
work together forming The Gaier Team.
I enjoy spending time with my wife, Sandy; my
son Nathan and his wife Stephanie; my son Andy;
daughter Amanda; and three grandchildren,
Colton, Derik, and Makayla.I also enjoy golf,
jogging, golf, my lake cottage, golf, riding my
motorcycle, and …you guessed it…golf.
Hallmark is locally owned. We have processors,
underwriters, and closers on staff in Fort Wayne
and all of the decisions are made right here. We
are both a mortgage banker and a mortgage
broker, which gives us the unique ability to
customize a mortgage to meet your specific needs
with a wide variety of products and financing
options.
My commitment to you, as my customer, is to find
you the best product, at the best rate, and to
get you approved in the least amount of time. My
partnership with Hallmark Home Mortgage,
utilizing multiple investors, allows me to
accomplish just that.
