I grew up in Syracuse, Indiana, and have lived in Michiana since 1982.

My education was in business and accounting, but I have been in lending my entire career, working in both wholesale and direct lending. I have always considered myself a problem solver, and I get a tremendous amount of satisfaction when I can get a first-time home buyer into a home or save someone a lot of money with a refinance.

Over the years, I've also been involved in many community and professional organizations, including being a unit chairman and division chairman of United Way, past president of the Mishawaka Exchange Club, and a trustee at my church. I have also been a member of the Board of Realtors® for many years, and served two terms as president of the Northern Indiana Chapter of Mortgage Brokers, a director of the Home Builders Association of St. Joseph Valley, and chairman of Panorama of Homes.

Away from work, you'll find me playing golf, boating, attending University of Notre Dame football games, or spending time with my lovely wife of 19 years. We have been blessed with a wonderful son and two beautiful granddaughters.

One of my greatest joys has been helping hundreds of customers who were declined by other lenders because the lenders either didn't take the time to get enough information or they didn't feel the transaction was profitable enough to be worth their time. For me, it has never been about the money. It has been about my customers' interests coming first.

Working with the talented, respected team at Hallmark Home Mortgage has been a splendid experience. I have been a top producer in the business for many years, but I have never had the team behind me that I have now, and that includes processing, underwriting and closing all done in the same building.
